Our Story
Every consultancy has an origin story. Ours starts with a soldering iron. In 1990, founder Andriy Sologub built his first personal computer from parts — the natural next step for an engineering mind raised on radio electronics and mechanical design.
The foundation came layer by layer: Assembly language, C, and C++ through the early '90s. Custom web development across Europe from 1997. A Master's in Computer Engineering — and the realization that graduation is where real learning begins. It never stopped.
In 2004, that learning crossed the Atlantic — into a North American market still recovering from the dot-com collapse. The toughest possible start became two decades of senior delivery. Through Advanced Vision Solutions, Andriy has led delivery inside Rogers, Hewlett-Packard, TD Bank, CIBC, American Express, and the Government of Ontario — directly and as a subcontractor: Senior Technical Lead, Lead Software Developer, Lead Front End Developer, and Software Engineer on credit card support systems.
New technologies are like waves, and IT consultants are like surfers. We've been surfing for more than thirty years — long enough to tell ripples from swells, and swells from giants. AI is the huge one: the Nazaré of waves, the once-in-a-generation giant surfers wait a lifetime for. We're on it. One more thing: Andriy is a certified kitesurfing instructor. On the water, his job is taking people who've never touched a kite and getting them riding — safely, in strong wind. At Advanced Vision Solutions, his job is exactly the same. Just a different kind of wave.
